Digitek Many patients who were prescribed the heart medication Digitek have suffered serious and potentially deadly side effects as a result of manufacturing defects with the drug. Digitek is a form of the heart medication digitalis; it is also known generically as digoxin. According to a press release issued at the time of the Digitek recall, some tablets of the drug were improperly manufactured at twice their normal thickness. In the most serious cases, patients who have experienced a digoxin overdose may suffer a heart attack, stroke or, potentially, death.
